Sexual assault on village footpath prompts appeal
- Published
Police are investigating after a woman was sexually assaulted in a Leicestershire village.
The woman told officers she was attacked on a footpath off Belvoir Road in Bottesford just after 11:20 GMT on Friday.
No arrests have been made and the suspect had left the area prior to officers arriving, Leicestershire Police said.
Det Insp Jenny Tattersall said the investigation was in its early stages and urged anyone who was on the footpath - which runs between Barkestone Lane and Belvoir Road - on Friday before midday to get in touch.
