Police have arrested seven people, including three teenagers, after reports of violent disorder in a Lincolnshire market town.

Officers were called to Drake Street in Gainsborough shortly after 23:30 BST on 28 August in response to reports of an altercation.

Two men were seriously injured and were taken to hospital for treatment, Lincolnshire Police said.

The force said three men, aged 23, 24 and 32, a boy and a girl, both aged 17, and an 18-year-old woman had been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

A 43-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, a police spokesperson added.

Officers said investigations into the incident were continuing and urged anyone with information to contact the force.
