Arrest after report of fireworks in student block

Police arrested a 20-year-old man at the student complex in the early hours of Thursday morning

A man has been arrested after police were called to reports of fireworks being launched inside student accommodation in Nottingham.
Nottinghamshire Police said it received reports of people launching fireworks inside the building, in Alfreton Road, Radford, at 1:15 GMT on Thursday.
A crowd was dispersed and a large amount of fireworks seized.
A 20-year-old man was arrested during a search on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs, police said.
Police deployed additional police patrols, dispersal orders and facial recognition cameras across the county to prevent disorder from happening again this year.
The force thanked the public for having a Bonfire Night that was "mostly celebrated without disorder".
