A man is being sought by police after a firework was thrown into a city centre branch of McDonald's in an "incredibly reckless" act.
The incident happened in the fast food restaurant in Horsefair, Bristol on 13 October at around 20:00 BST.
Avon and Somerset Police said the firework hit the order screen, ricocheted off it and landed by a customer.
Sgt Sean Underwood said nobody was hurt in the incident but high-visibility patrols will be carried out in the area.
Avon and Somerset Police has released a CCTV image of a man officers would like to speak to.
Sgt Underwood added: "Not only is the release of fireworks in heavily-populated areas and in the direction of people, buildings and vehicles very dangerous, but it is also incredibly reckless.
"It shows complete disregard for personal safety and that of the wider public.
"Fireworks can cause significant injuries, ranging from burns through to blindness should they be handled incorrectly."

Police also believe the same person kicked the restaurant door the night before, smashing one of the glass panels.
The man is described as approximately 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall, and is thought to be between 16 to 18 years old and of a slim build.
He is shown wearing a black puffed coat with 'Trapstar' wording on it, a hooded jacket, Nike jogging bottoms and black trainers.
