Man dies in hospital following car crash

A man has died in hospital five days after he was injured in a crash on the A57 near Rotherham.
The 61-year-old had been a passenger in a silver Kia Rio which collided with a Ford Transit van in Aston on 15 November.
The man and the driver of the Kia, a woman, 55, were seriously hurt and taken to hospital, where he died on Wednesday.
South Yorkshire Police said his family is being supported by specialist officers.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage of the collision, which took place between the A618 Mansfield Road and the B6053 Chesterfield Road junctions, is asked to contact police.
