About 1,000 items from a popular hotel close to Windsor Castle will be up for grabs at an auction to make room for a £9.5m renovation.
The Castle Hotel Windsor's revamp is set to start in November and is expected to be finished at the 108-bedroom venue in late 2026.
It has welcomed visitors since the 16th Century and items including furniture, beds, artwork and light fittings will go on sale at the hotel on 4 November, with a public viewing the day before.
"The upcoming auction offers a unique and sustainable way for people to own a piece of our history, giving these items a new life," Shaun Bowles, from the Sutton Hotel Collection, which runs the hotel, said.
