Long queues of traffic formed on one of West Sussex's main roads after a pick-up truck hit a central reservation on Thursday morning.

Sussex Police said it was called to the A27 at Sompting, near Lancing, at 06:19 BST.

No other vehicles were involved and there were no casualties.

An eastbound lane of the carriageway was closed while repairs were carried out.
