A Channel Islands harbour slipway has reopened after work to clear loose stone from a rockfall was completed.

The Chief Pleas of Sark had limited access to the slip at Creux Harbour to essential and emergency use following the rockfall incident on 26 July.

The island's Harbour, Shipping and Pilotage Committee said the risk of rockfalls remained in the area and advised people to "keep well away" from the base of the cliffs.

It said signs and some form of barrier or painted warning were being considered for the area, adding a "sensible compromise" needed to be reached as tractors launching and recovering boats needed to access the slip.
