A man has died after he was hit by a car on a dual carriageway, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the pedestrian in his 30s from Hayle, Cornwall, had been hit by a white Peugeot 2008 on the westbound carriageway of the A30 at Tolvaddon, Camborne.

The force said officers had been called at about 22:05 BST on Saturday and they asked anyone with any information or dashcam footage related to the incident to come forward.

The man had been pronounced dead at the scene, they added, and his family had been informed and were being supported.

The driver had not been injured in the incident, police added.
