Home Affairs committee looking for new members

The Committee for Home Affairs says it's searching for two people to join as non-voting members

The States of Guernsey said it was searching for two people with a "keen analytical mind" to join the committee for Home Affairs as non-voting members.
Committees of the States can elect non-voting members to sit alongside States members.
Non-voting members must "act in the best interests of the community" and provide a sufficient level of scrutiny to policies as they are developed, a States spokesperson said.
The deadline for applications is 17:00 BST on the 27 August.
The role of a non-voting member includes offering expertise, challenging ideas and offering independent advice and broader perspectives on issues.
Deputy Marc Leadbeater, president of the committee, said he was "keen to seek out skills and experience in the community to support the delivery of its diverse mandate."
He added: "There are no specific qualifications required for the role, but the committee is particularly interested in hearing from those with a keen analytical mind with an ability to digest complex and sensitive information and contribute objectively to Committee discussions."
