Oasis fans have praised young Archie's imitation of Liam Gallagher

The father of a four-year-old boy whose rendition of an Oasis song went viral says his son is "absolutely oblivious" despite the clip gaining more than 300,000 views in a few days.

Footage of Archie, from Accrington in Lancashire, imitating Liam Gallagher's performance of Acquiesce – complete with hands behind his back - won praise from the band's fans on TikTok.

Archie's father Jon has a ticket for one of the group's concerts in London later this month and his son has absorbed his musical passion ahead of the gig.

"I've always got it on in the car when driving. He's got a really good memory, he knows the majority of their songs," he said.

"I know it sounds really bad as a parent but he knows Champagne Supernova, Cigarettes & Alcohol," Jon added.

Jon said Archie, who has his own guitar, is always singing but has "taken it to a new level now with Oasis".

"He's obsessed with Liam to the point we've had to get him yellow sunglasses," he said.

He said thousands of people are still watching the clip of his son's performance of Acquiesce on their settee, which he posted earlier this week, and added: "I don't know how, I don't know why it's gone viral. I find it crazy."

Fans on social media described Archie's version as "executed perfectly" and "cute".

Jon said he had shown some of the reaction to his son including a composite picture of Liam and Archie but "he's absolutely oblivious to it".

Oasis has been performing to millions of fans this summer as part of a sell-out international reunion tour, which is set to end in Brazil in November.
