Woman dies after crash between HGV and car

A woman has died following a collision involving a HGV and a car.
The crash happened shortly before midday on Monday on the A534 Haslington Bypass near to Wheelock Hall Farm, Sandbach, Cheshire.
The collision involved a white HGV tractor unit and a silver Vauxhall Crossland, police said, with the driver of the car, a woman from Sandbach, sustaining serious injuries.
She was taken to hospital, but later died. Police said inquiries were ongoing and anyone who saw the crash or has dash-cam footage should contact them.
"The A534 is an extremely busy road and as part of our investigation we are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what took place," Det Sgt Simon Degg said.
