Man taken to hospital after assault in Liskeard

The victim was taken to hospital by air ambulance, with the extent of his injuries not known

A man has been airlifted to hospital after an alleged assault in Liskeard town centre, police say.
Devon and Cornwall Police said officers responded to calls at about 15:40 BST, following reports of a man being assaulted in the area.
It was reported a male suspect then left the scene and a road closure was put in place.
The victim was taken to hospital but the extent of his injuries were not yet known, the force added.
