The Welsh Liberal Democrats have announced their candidate in the Caerphilly Senedd by-election, following the death of Hefin David MS.
Steve Aicheler, 49, who sits on Bedwas, Trethomas and Machen community council, is the sixth confirmed candidate.
Mr Aicheler says his campaign will focus on the theme of "care" - tackling the social care crisis to save the Welsh NHS.
This includes investing in childcare to give "every child the best start in life".
