Devon and Cornwall Police said a 31-year-old man from Bodmin had been released on police bail

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Bodmin.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called at about 17:05 GMT on Saturday 18 January to Roseland Road and the victim was taken to hospital.

His injuries were not considered to be "life-threatening", police said.

Officers said the man, 31, from the town, had since been released on police bail.

"Both the victim and suspect are believed to be known to each other and there is no wider threat to the public following this incident," police added.
