Icons of the UK punk music scene have been signed up for a new one-day music festival in Glasgow next year.

The Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter will headline the Summer Sessions Punk All Dayer, alongside The Stranglers, The Undertones and Buzzcocks.

Scottish bands Skids and The Rezillos are also lined up for the festival.

Thousands of punk fans are expected at the city's Bellahouston Park for the event on 21 June.

Organisers described it as an "unmissable gathering of punk icons" that will "celebrate punk music in its raw, rebellious glory".

Steve Jones, Paul Cook, and Glen Matlock from Sex Pistols will be joined by Frank Carter, following a sell out gig at Glasgow's O2 Academy in September.

The band's God Save the Queen became the most censored record in British history after being banned by the BBC and nearly every independent radio station in Britain.

Original frontman John Lydon (Johnny Rotten) has not performed with the band for many years.

Tickets for the festival will go on sale later this week.
