Fire which engulfed car and house 'suspicious'

A fire which badly damaged a car and house is being treated as suspicious, police said.

The fire started in Letch Lane, Carlton, near Stockton, at 04:55 BST.

Cleveland Fire Brigade sent four engines and said there was 100% fire damage to the vehicle and 80% to the property.

Cleveland Police said no one was hurt and the road was closed while the fire was tackled.
