Driver 'left the scene' after colliding with cyclist

A cyclist has suffered a serious head injury in a collision with a car which then "left the scene".
Officers were called to the A4 Bath Road, in Reading, near the junction with Liebenrood Road, just after 01:20 BST.
The cyclist, a man in his 50's from the town, was taken to hospital, where he is receiving treatment.
Investigating officer Sgt Matthew Cadmore, from the Roads Policing Unit, is urging "anyone who may have witnessed the incident" to come forward.
Police said from their initial enquiries, it is believed a car collided with the cyclist, but then left the scene.
A search of the area did not identify any vehicles which may have been involved, they added.
Sgt Cadmore said: "As this early stage of our investigation, we are keeping an open mind in relation to the circumstances.
“The cyclist has suffered serious injuries, and his bicycle shows signs of significant damage, and it is important anyone who can help us understand what has happened makes contact as soon as possible.
“If you are the driver of a vehicle which may have collided with someone on the Bath Road, then I would urge you to make contact with us immediately.
“I also want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has any dashcam or other footage from the area between 12:45 and 01:30."
