A rugby fan who confidently got a tattoo marking his team's premiership win before the game, has said he has no plans to remove it, despite their defeat.

Tom Craven, who supports Bath Rugby, tattooed 'COYB 2024 Champions' on his upper right thigh, with the initials COYB standing for 'Come on you Bath'.

But the team were narrowly beaten by Northampton Saints, 25 to 21, on Saturday.

Mr Craven said the main reason for getting the tattoo was to raise awareness for the Testicular Cancer Society and added: "I have no plans of changing the tattoo - it was a great game to watch none the less and I'm still proud to be a fan of the boys in blue."

Mr Craven got the tattoo ahead of the final, in the hope of bringing more attention to the charity.

It comes after his previous work and challenges with the "nifty" society, which aims to promote early diagnosis.

The charity said the condition is the most common form of the disease in men between the ages of 15 and 35 and encourages men to check for symptoms from their adolescent years.

Mr Craven said the initials COYB could also mean "check on your balls".
