Station access improvement plan due this summer
- Published
A plan to improve access to an Oxfordshire train station for pedestrians, cyclists, buses and taxis is due to start this summer.
The proposal - to open up a closed route through Tramway Road in Banbury and create a compact roundabout - seeks to make getting to the station and the town centre easier.
Oxfordshire County Council said it should also provide “relief” for the Bridge Street junction, which is often clogged in and out of the town centre.
The plan was first consulted on in January 2020 and was given planning permission in 2022.
