Tributes have been paid to a "very much-loved" 78-year-old woman who died after a two-car crash in which five other people were injured.
Eileen Spanner, from Fulbourn, Cambridgeshire, was a passenger in a Ford Puma that crashed with a Honda CR-V on the A142 between Fordham and Newmarket at about 16:20 BST on Sunday.
The Ford driver was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with serious injuries, as was the driver of the Honda, and four passengers, including two children.
A 37-year-old man, from Wicken, - the Honda driver - has currently been charged with six counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving with no insurance.
Ms Spanner died at Addenbrooke's Hospital on Tuesday, Cambridgeshire Police said.
Her family said in a statement: "Eileen was a very much-loved mother of two daughters, and nana to four grandchildren, who she adored. She was a loved sister, auntie and partner.
"Eileen spent most of her life in Surrey, where she had family and lifelong close friends, and moved to Cambridge eight years ago to be near her elder daughter and was really enjoying her new life.
"She was fun, funny, always laughing and always ready to help anyone in need."
Her family added that they were "desperately sad and shocked that she has been taken from us far too early and in such an awful, sudden way and that we will not have her in our lives - she will be missed by everyone who knew her".
The man charged in relation to the crash is expected to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on 4 June.
