Woman charged over death of cyclist in Glasgow

John Morton died in hospital from his injuries.

A 52-year-old woman has been charged over the death of cyclist in Glasgow last year.

John Morton, from Paisley, was seriously injured when he was hit by an Audi A3 on Fielden Street in the east end of Glasgow on 29 May 2023.

The 64-year-old was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police Scotland said the woman had been arrested on Tuesday and a report would be sent to the procurator-fiscal.
