Boy, 13, seriously injured after being hit by car

A 13-year-old boy has been airlifted to hospital after being hit by a car in Eastbourne.
Sussex Police said the boy suffered potentially life-threatening injuries and his next of kin have been informed.
Officers said the incident happened in Hazelwood Avenue at about 15:50 GMT and appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact the force.
"Enquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances of the situation," a spokesman said in a statement on social media, external.
