A new laser tag and gaming centre is due to open at a shopping centre.

Urban Underground Limited is currently working on their new immersive, indoor gaming hub at Serpentine Green in Hampton, Peterborough.

John Evans, from the the gaming company, said it will help “bolster” the offerings at the centre.

According to a building control planning document, external submitted to Peterborough City Council, the units 23 to 26 - managed by Orton and Hampton LTD, are located on the lower rotunda at the shopping centre and cover 15,000 sq ft.

The opening date is yet to be confirmed but Mr Evans said the site could be ready to welcome visitors by June at the latest.

“We’re going to be providing a range of sessions aimed at all ages and groups including businesses," he said.

"The increased footfall to the centre will hopefully provide a boost to the surrounding restaurants and shops.”

The centre currently includes popular retail brands such as Next, River Island, New Look and a M&S Food Hall, as well as a Pure Gym unit.
