Major gas leak shuts coastal road
Hamm Beach Road is likely to be closed for 24 hours

A major gas leak on an island has forced emergency services to shut a coastal road.
Officers were called to Hamm Beach Road on Portland just after 10:30 BST, Dorset Police said.
Crews from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service are also at the scene.
The road is expected to be closed for 24 hours and residents are being advised to avoid the area.
