A woman has been attacked while walking her dogs in Deal, police say.

Kent Police said the assault reportedly took place about 17:15 BST on 25 May.

The victim, a woman in her 50s, was walking her dogs in Wellington Parade, Walmer, with a friend.

The pair approached an unknown woman, who then reportedly shouted at them, before hitting the victim to the ground and repeatedly kicking her in the head, a police spokesperson said.

The suspect is believed to have been walking a German Shepherd-type dog and holding a scooter.

Police are asking for anyone with information to contact them.
