A cyclist has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a crash involving a bike and a car.

The collision took place on the A134 southbound at the Newman's Green junction in Sudbury, Suffolk, on Friday at 16:20 BST.

The cyclist, a woman aged in her 60s, sustained serious injuries, with her condition described as critical but stable.

The incident involved a bike and black Volkswagen Polo, Suffolk Police said.

Suffolk Police has been appealing for any witnesses or anyone driving in the area, who may have dash cam footage, to get in touch.
