Police are seeking witnesses after a cyclist died following a road crash

A man has been arrested after a road collision in which a cyclist died.

The rider, a man in his 60s, died at the scene of the crash in Bovingdon, Hertfordshire, at about 11:00 BST on Friday.

Hertfordshire Police said the crash involved a white Ford Transit.

They said the arrested man, in his 20s, was being held on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Det Sgt Ben Heath said: “We are appealing for any witnesses to please come forward.

“Sadly, a man passed away at the scene. Our thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time."
