A handmade crop of more than 400 knitted pumpkins and seasonal vegetables is on display at Charlecote Park for the second year running.

The National Trust site, in Wellesbourne, Warwickshire, has been phasing out edible gourds and pumpkins over the Halloween period to help reduce food waste.

The sustainable crop of vegetables has been knitted, felted and crocheted by dozens of people, including staff and volunteers.

Visitors could also take home their own handmade pumpkin for donation, which would contribute to the conservation of the site, a National Trust spokesperson added.
