A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of 21-year-old Phoenix Spencer-Horn whose body was found in a flat in East Kilbride two days ago.

Ewan Methven, 26, also from East Kilbride, made no plea or declaration when he appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

Ms Spencer-Horn's body was discovered at the flat on Glen Lee in the South Lanarkshire town on Monday afternoon.

Mr Methven was remanded in custody until he appears in court again next week.
