A popular annual Halloween trail has returned to the uphill area of Lincoln.

The trail, featuring 25 decorative pumpkins, is running until 3 November and participants can pick up a map from the Visitor Information Centre in Castle Square.

Each pumpkin will be hidden within displays in shop windows.

Visit Lincoln said the trail is "a great way to discover some of Lincoln's fantastic independent businesses".

The trail, which is in its fifth year, will start at The Strait and continue up to the Newport Arch.

Questions will also be included in the trail with prizes available from the businesses that are participating.

Charlotte Goy from Visit Lincoln said the event was so popular last year that the team ran out of leaflets, so they have plenty this year to go around.

Other Halloween events in Lincoln include a Monster Invasion which runs until 28 October and the Strolling Bones Skeleton Parade on 24 October.
