Three people have been seriously injured after a house fire in the early hours of the morning.

Firefighters were called to Holyhead Road, Wednesbury, at 03:08 BST on Sunday.

A man and woman in their 80s, alongside a man in his 50s, have been taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries, West Midlands Police said.

West Midlands Fire Service said the blaze had been put out and an investigation into the cause of the fire was ongoing.
