A Christmas festival in a Lincolnshire town is set to have an ice rink for the first time this year.

Bargate Green car park in Boston will be transformed into a winter wonderland with fairground rides for three days.

The festival will launch on 29 November, with the ice rink open throughout the weekend.

Boston Borough Council deputy leader Dale Broughton said: "Bringing three days of entertainment to our residents and visitors to start the festivities off for 2024 is a priority for us."

Traditional Christmas market food, including Bratwurst sausages, and mulled wine will be on offer.

The market will also have stalls selling gingerbread, handmade items, jewellery and Christmas ornaments.

Entertainment will include community acts, local bands and talent shows, with the festival coming to an end on 1 December at 18:30 GMT.
