Three paddleboarders who are believed to have got into difficulty in the Lake District have been urged to contact police.

Keswick Mountain Rescue Team (KMRT) said it was alerted on Friday evening about three people on Derwentwater.

Despite "comprehensive searches" by KMRT, police, Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service and the ambulance service, there were no signs of anybody in distress.

KMRT appealed for anyone who knew about a group of three people on the lake, or were on it themselves as a trio, to contact Cumbria Police to confirm their safe return.
