A main road in Surrey could be closed for a week to allow time to clear up after an oil spill, a council has said.

A three-vehicle crash happened on the A25 Godstone Road between Bletchingley and Godstone on Monday, police said.

The road was closed in both directions due to emergency repairs and roadworks from North Park Lane to Waterhouse Lane.

Surrey County Council said the road would be closed until 29 April.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or who has information about it is urged to contact police.
