A warning remains in place after a lake was found to be contaminated with oil.
Last week, residents were asked to keep away and make sure pets did not enter Oakley Vale lake in Corby.
North Northamptonshire Council said it appeared the oil had been deliberately dumped into a culvert, which feeds into the lake.
It said it was working to contain the substance, which will then be cleared away.
The Environment Agency has been made aware of the incident.
