A "vile predator" who bribed some of the children he sexually abused with vapes, vodka and cigarettes, has been jailed.
John Carney, 69, of Prospect View, Northallerton, pleaded guilty to more than 20 charges of making and possessing indecent images of children, voyeurism and sexual assault on a child.
Carney, who made recordings of his sexual abuse of a young girl and installed covert cameras to record girls and women using toilets and showering, was convicted after one of his victims reported the attacks to North Yorkshire Police.
He was jailed for eight years at York Crown Court on Friday.
A "catalogue of sickening videos", were seized from Carney's home following his arrest in 2022, police said.
They included recordings of Carney sexually abusing a young girl.
A force spokesperson said he had done this "in exchange for vapes, vodka and cigarettes".
"This shocking reign of abuse continued as he installed covert cameras in a bathroom to record girls and women when using toilets and showering," they added.
Det Con Jason Roper, said he had reviewed the "twisted" recordings Carney had made of himself.
"These were incredibly disturbing, and they clearly show the extent of his vile offending," he said.
Det Con Roper said Carney was a "sexual predator" who had no regard for his victims.
"The victims should be commended for the bravery which they have shown by supporting this investigation.
"I hope that this sentence helps bring some form of closure on this traumatic ordeal for those involved."
