Channel Island Ceramics enters administration

A Guernsey-based homeware and ceramics company has gone into administration after more than 45 years in business.
Channel Islands Ceramics, which opened in 1978, was placed into administration by the Royal Court on Tuesday.
The administrator Begbies Traynor said no jobs had been lost at present and it intended to "sell the business as a going concern".
A spokesperson for the administrator said the company was aiming to "secure a sound financial footing for the future" and that it was "confident of a positive resolution to the current difficulties".
They said the firm had been under increasing financial pressure since the Covid pandemic.
The spokesperson said: "It has always been the utmost priority for Channel Island Ceramics to engage well with its talented staff, invaluable sub-contractors and the wider community.
"It will continue to be a positive influence for all its stakeholders and they remain its primary concern."
They said the company understood the news "may cause alarm", but asked for patience.
