An airport is said to be open as normal following an emergency incident on Tuesday afternoon.

Gloucestershire Airport staff activated their emergency plan following issues with a Piper Navajo aircraft at 14:40 BST,

It is thought the aircraft experienced a nose landing gear collapse during a landing attempt, with no injuries reported.

A spokesperson for the Air Accident Investigation Branch told the BBC: “The AAIB has begun an investigation into an incident involving a light aircraft which occurred yesterday at Gloucestershire Airport.”
