Plans for an outdoor Moroccan-style shisha lounge at a city centre snooker café have been approved.
Snooker, darts and gaming venue and café, Cue Club opened in Cowgate, Peterborough in February in place of a recruitment office.
Earlier this year, an application was submitted to Peterborough City Council to turn the backyard at 33 Cowgate into an outdoor shisha lounge with seating and gazebos.
Colanne Owens, manager at the Cue Club, said staff were "excited" and work was ongoing to open the "Smoke and Mirrors" shisha bar within the next four weeks.
The outside lounge area will be accessed by club members from the rear doors of the building.
The snooker café operates between 15:00 to 02:00 throughout the week and Ms Owens said the hours would remain the same.
"It is going to be a vibrant, colourful Moroccan-style shisha lounge.
"Our customers are really looking forward to it. We are all guns blazing now and working to open soon", she said.
