Five-car crash leads to delays on major route

A crash involving five cars led to significant delays on a major route in Nottinghamshire.
The crash on the A52 westbound between Saxondale and Gamston happened shortly before 08:00 GMT, the fire service said.
A spokesperson said all drivers and passengers were out of their vehicles by the time firefighters arrived.
National Highways warned of three miles (4.8km) of congestion on the approach to the crash but said delays were easing after the incident was cleared.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service added its staff remained at the scene to make sure there were no further issues before departing at about 09:00.
