Pensioner admits killing wife in 'loss of control'

A 78-year-old man has admitted killing his wife after he "lost control".

Davinia Graham, 67, was found seriously injured at a house in Fairfield Road, Cheltenham, in the early hours of 31 August 2024 and died at the scene.

Appearing at Bristol Crown Court earlier, her husband Charles Graham pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of "loss of control".

The Crown Prosecution Service and Gloucestershire Police accepted this plea after discussions with Mrs Graham's family, the court heard.

Graham, who was originally charged with murder, was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing on 6 March.
