Abdullah Bellil is due before Westminster magistrates later

A man has been charged with distributing terrorist materials and supporting the Islamic State group.

Abdullah Bellil, 29, was arrested at his home in Southampton on Wednesday, police said.

The charges, covering a period from July 2023 to October 2024, include three counts of promoting terrorist publications through social media and one of expressing support for IS.

Mr Bellil is due to appear before Westminster magistrates later.
