Teen arrested on suspicion of making explosive

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of making an explosive device, police have said.
The 17-year-old boy, from Stafford, was arrested at 16:30 BST on Wednesday on suspicion of making or manufacturing an explosive with intent to commit an offence and sending an offensive message or matter by public communications network.
A small number of properties were evacuated for a short time as a precaution, according to Staffordshire Police.
The force said the suspect remained in custody and officers were treating it as an isolated incident "with no wider threat to the community".
