Man dies after two-vehicle crash in Rotherham

A road closure was in place for several hours following the collision in Centenary Way, Rotherham

A man has died in hospital following a collision involving two cars in Rotherham.

South Yorkshire Police said officers were called to reports a white Toyota Prius Alpha and a grey Audi A4 had crashed on Centenary Way at about 07:25 GMT on Wednesday.

A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital, where he later died. His family is being supported by officers, police said.

The road was closed following the incident and reopened later that day.
