A man has been jailed after he attacked two of his former girlfriends.

Jordan Duval-Burnett, of Hinchcliffe, in Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, left his victims feeling "terrified," police said.

The 32-year-old met one of his victims on social media in October 2022 and two months later, attacked her during a row. He attacked his second victim by stomping on her and biting her hand in a bid to take her phone.

He pleaded guilty to two counts of actual bodily harm and two counts of assault by beating and was jailed for two years and 11 months.

Duval-Burnett abused the victims while in separate relationships with them.

Two months after meeting his first victim he attacked her, squeezed her arms and yelled obscenities in her face.

Days later Duval-Burnett told the victim to leave his home. Police said when she pleaded to talk things through, he repeatedly kicked her thighs.

The abuse continued into February 2023 and Duval-Burnett threatened to "smash your [her] face," before grabbing her arms and pushing her into an alleyway. A concerned member of the public came to help the victim.

In March, the victim went to his home to pick up her glasses and Duval-Burnett pulled her inside the house and she hit her head.

The relationship ended and the victim later posted photographs of her injuries on social media urging women to stay away from him.

This was seen by another victim who had been attacked that month when Duval-Burnett tried to take her phone from her.

He threatened to post about her on the internet if she told anyone what happened.

'Absolutely vile'

On Friday Duval-Burnett was sentenced at Cambridge Crown Court.

Det Con Chris Enright said his behaviour towards both victims, and how he spoke to them had been "absolutely vile" and left them "terrified".

"It has gone on to affect the victims, who were so brave to support the investigation. I am pleased he is behind bars, and we will continue to do all we can to put domestic abusers before the courts," he said.

"We’re also working hard to help and support survivors. I would urge anyone in an abusive relationship to seek help."
