A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following an alleged altercation in Skegness.

Lincolnshire Police said officers were called to Grosvenor Road shortly before 19:00 BST on Monday.

Rhys Howell, 57, was found with serious injuries and despite being treated by paramedics he died a short time later, the force said.

The arrested man, 60, is being held in custody for questioning, a spokesperson said.

The force added Mr Howell's family had been informed.

Officers have appealed for anyone with information to get in touch with the force.
