Two people have died after a road crash between Lerryn and Lostwithiel where a car hit a wall and caught fire, police said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called to an unnamed road at 21:45 BST on Saturday 20 September after the blue Mini Cooper crashed and left the road.

The force's roads policing team and local response officers, as well as fire and ambulance crews, were called out to the scene.

Two people, who were believed to be two men in their 20s, were confirmed dead and their next of kin had been informed, the force said.

The road was reopened after a lengthy investigation, it added.
