Seven arrests after man injured in shooting

Seven people have been arrested in connection with a shooting in Hartlepool.

Police were called to Garside Drive on Thursday afternoon, where they found a man seriously injured.

The victim, who is in his thirties, had suffered suspected shotgun wounds, and was taken to hospital, where he remains.

Cleveland Police has now arrested five men aged 19, 21, 23, 32, 32 and two women aged 34 and 54.
