A man has been arrested after an appeal to trace a man on an electric scooter accused of sexually assaulting girls in Leeds.

Police said four girls had allegedly been approached by a man in the Thorpe and Middleton areas of the city on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The young victims were confronted by the man, who in some cases engaged them in conversation before assaulting them.

West Yorkshire Police said a 43-year-old man had been arrested and was in custody.
